The on-site observation of new varieties of wheat was successfully held in Jiangsu (Taizhou) Modern Agriculture (Rice and Wheat) Technology Comprehensive Demonstration Base

(Summary description)On May 13, 2019, the on-site observation and appraisal of new wheat varieties jointly organized by Jiangsu Seed Management Station and Jiangsu Seed Industry Association was held in Jiangsu (Taizhou) Modern Agriculture (Rice and Wheat) Comprehensive Technology Demonstration Base. More than 300 people from relevant seed management stations, scientific research and breeding units, expert leaders from seed companies, and large farmers in the province participated in the event. 　　 A total of 24 new wheat varieties participated in this observation and evaluation, all of which are new varieties that have been independently selected and bred by Jiangsu Province or the state in the past three years and planted in suitable areas in our province. After experiencing unfavorable weather such as rainy winter and drought in spring, the technical staff of the base adopted a number of measures to ensure that each variety can fully grow its own characteristics, and the field management level was unanimously recognized by the participants.




